About the Cook/Kiley and Beckman Receiverships
On November 23, 2009, Chief Judge Michael J. Davis established a Receivership in the cases of United States Securities & Exchange Commission v. Cook et al., 09-cv-3333 (D. Minn.) and United States Commodities Futures Trading Commission v. Cook et al., 09-cv-3332 (D. Minn.). R.J. Zayed, an attorney with Carlson, Caspers, Vandenburgh & Lindquist, and a former Assistant United States Attorney in the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, is the appointed Receiver in both actions.
On March 8, 2011, Chief Judge Michael J. Davis also appointed R.J.Zayed as a Receiver in the case of United States Securities & Exchange Commission v. Beckman et al., 11-cv-00574 (D. Minn.).
The duties and responsibilities of the Receiver are fully defined in the Court Orders in each case. The Receiver will file periodic Receiver Reports in each case.
